Bankruptcy Court (SDNY) to Discontinue Transmitting Proof of Claim Forms Through Bankruptcy Noticing Center: Pursuant to the direction of the Administrative Office of the United States Courts (the "Administrative Office"), our Court will discontinue transmitting the Official Form B10, Proof of Claim, through the Bankruptcy Noticing Center ("BNC") as of October 1, 2011. Prior to that date, the Proof of Claim form was included as an attachment to certain notices such as the section 341(a) notice (i.e., the Notice of Case Commencement).
The Judicial Conference Advisory Committees on Appellate, Bankruptcy, Civil, Criminal, and Evidence Rules have proposed amendments to their respective rules and requested that the proposals be circulated to the bench, bar, and public for comment.
The public comment period ends on February 15, 2012. The proposed amendments, Rules Committee reports explaining the proposed changes, and other information are posted on the Judiciary.s Federal Rulemaking website at
The United States District Court for the Southern District of New York has approved certain changes to the attorney admission fees, effective July 1, 2011: For admission of attorney to practice, including Certificate of Admission $200.00. For admission of an attorney pro hac vice $200.00.
Due to configuration changes at the Administrative Office, e-mail notifications may not make it to their proper destinations. If you are not receiving email notifications please contact your Internet Service Provider and have them add the new uscourts.gov IP addresses to their e-mail white lists. (The AO Postmaster has already notified the larger ISPs, such as Hotmail and Yahoo.)
