Getting Started

In order to file documents electronically and receive email notices of documents filed, attorneys or limited access users must become authorized users of the Court’s CM/ECF Live database.  The registration process must be completed before a live login and password is issued.  Please review the Court’s Policies and Procedures about Electronic Filing before proceeding with the registration process.

Minimum System Requirements

The browsers supported for the application are Internet Explorer 7, 8, and 9. CM/ECF does not support Internet Explorer 10 and 11.

Mozilla Firefox 3.5, the Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0 or higher and Adobe Acrobat PDF Writer software. All documents filed on ECF must be in Portable Document Format (PDF). Filers will need Adobe Acrobat PDF Writer software to convert documents to PDF and for viewing PDF documents only Adobe Acrobat Reader is needed. A scanner may also be needed for imaging documents that do not exist in electronic format.

Policies and Procedures about Electronic Filing

Regular business hours for the court's Electronic Filing System are from 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Eastern Time.  Although the system is available 24/7/365, it may be necessary for the court to interrupt service for maintenance.
