UNITED STATES BANKRUPTCY COURT
SOUTHERN DISTRICT OF NEW YORK

IMPORTANT NOTICE RE: PDA EQUIPMENT

Please note that Local Bankruptcy Rule 5073-1 prohibits the taking of
photographs and the use of recording devices in a courtroom or its
environs, except by officials of the Court in the conduct of the Court’s
business, and radio or television broadcasting from a courtroom or its
environs, during the progress of, or in connection with, judicial
proceedings or otherwise, whether or not the Court is actually in session.
Blackberries, PALMs and other PDA devices are permitted in the Court;
however, if your Blackberry, PALM or PDA device has the capability to
broadcast over radio or television or function as a telephone, camera or

Bringing a device with these capabilities into the Court or its environs is
in violation of the Court’s Local Rule cited above.
We are making every effort to accommodate your needs while in the
Court; however, we expect that all visitors to the court will abide by the
court’s rules, and in this regard, Local Bankruptcy Rule 5073-1 must be
enforced.
Your cooperation is appreciated and expected.
